The Auditorio de Tenerife has opened registration for the second edition of Coro Canguro, a free program for families with babies up to two years old, combining instrumental music, body, and vocal dynamics.

The Educational and Social Area of the Auditorio de Tenerife has initiated the registration process for the second edition of Coro Canguro. This artistic and musical initiative is designed for families with babies from birth up to two years old, offering sessions that integrate instrumental music, body, and vocal dynamics. The program will take place at the Auditorium between September and December, is free for participants, and has limited places.
Based on the benefits of music, voice, movement, and creation, Coro Canguro aims to foster healthy parenting for both babies and parents. It promotes creative and endearing experiences through structured choir sessions, workshops, recording studio moments, and concerts where artists and families are the protagonists.
The methodology of Coro Canguro, created by the organization Grandes Oyentes, is expanding to various locations across Spain. Sessions include instrumental music, group singing, insights into musical development in infancy, and its benefits.
The program is aimed at families with babies from birth up to two years old, and also includes pregnant women expected to give birth after December. Two adults are permitted per baby, and families with twins or a baby and pregnancy are welcome, always with one adult per child. No prior musical knowledge is required.
Sessions will be held in the Sala Multiusos of the Auditorio de Tenerife, an accessible space with stroller access, restrooms, and changing facilities. An ambulance service will be available for participants' peace of mind.
Registration is completed via a form available on the website www.auditoriodetenerife.com, within the Educational and Social Area section, and should be sent to the email address corocanguro@auditoriodetenerife.com. Accepted families will gain access to digital musical materials.
The second edition of Coro Canguro will include about ten rehearsal sessions from September 25th to early December. The schedule will primarily take place on Friday afternoons (approximately 17:00-18:30) during the last quarter of 2026. October sessions are on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd; November sessions are on the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. A general rehearsal will be held on December 4th in preparation for the final concert on December 5th, taking place in the Sala de Cámara of the Auditorio de Tenerife with free admission.
The Educational and Social Area of the Auditorio de Tenerife collaborates with RESEO European Network and the National Network of Educational Concert Organizers (ROCE). Its objective is to bring arts and creative processes closer to the public, with a special focus on schoolchildren and individuals at risk of social exclusion, promoting social well-being and critical thinking.
