The Institute of Social and Sociosanitary Care (IAS) of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria has initiated the tender process for the equipment of the new San Francisco de Paula sociosanitary center in Tafira, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The Institute of Social and Sociosanitary Care (IAS) of the Cabildo has put out to tender the supply and installation of the necessary equipment for the new sociosanitary center San Francisco de Paula, located in Tafira, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The investment amounts to almost 700,000 euros.
The tender is divided into 15 lots, with a maximum execution period of 60 days, scheduled between September 1 and October 30. The objective is to create a welcoming, accessible, and safe environment, promoting the well-being and autonomy of users, with uniformity in design, colors, and finishes.

It is crucial to ensure a harmonization of all elements, maintaining uniformity in design, colors, tones, and finishes.

Once equipped and furnished, the center will offer 51 residential places for dependent elderly individuals. The IAS plans to tender the management contract in July, with the aim of opening the residence before the end of the year, provided no appeals arise during the bidding processes.
The building, with a constructed area of 5,439 square meters spread over three floors, features four co-living units equipped with single and double rooms with private bathrooms, living areas, and dining rooms. Each floor will also have a control and nursing area.
The residence comprises four distinct volumes: three for residential use and one for access and common spaces, aiming to enhance the quality of care for users. It will also include outdoor recreation areas, a garage with 16 parking spaces, a cafeteria, its own kitchen, offices, medical consultation rooms, staff changing rooms, a laundry, a rehabilitation therapy room, and a library.
The construction of this residence, situated on a plot ceded by the capital's City Council on Antonio Cardona Arquitecto street corner with Arquitecto Laureano Arroyo street, was awarded in September 2021 with a budget of 8.46 million euros and an 18-month execution period.
