The film Everything Else Is Noise, a co-production from Mexico, Germany, and Canada directed by Nicolás Pereda, has been honored with the Lady Harimaguada de Oro at the 25th International Film Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, held on May 2, 2026.

The Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria hosted the awards ceremony for the Official Section, where the festival's main accolades were announced. The producer of the winning film, Catalina Pereda, and the director of the Silver Lady award-winning film, Andrius Blaževičius, were present to express their emotion and gratitude.
The feature film jury awarded the Lady Harimaguada de Oro to Everything Else Is Noise (2026, 71 min.) for its “highly creative cinematic proposal that intertwines human relationships, primarily between genders and generations, with artistic questions and cinematic resources.” They highlighted the use of light, framing, and sound to create a humorous yet moving composition.

The Lady Harimaguada de Plata was awarded to How to Divorce During the War | Skyrybos karo metu (Lithuania, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Ireland, 2026, 108 min.) by Andrius Blaževičius. The jury emphasized how the director “reflects the agony and impact of an external conflict with the uncontrolled consequences of personal and professional decisions.”
Other notable awards included the Best Performance Award for Danielle Brooks for her role in If I Go Will They Miss Me (United States, 2026, 92 min.), and a special mention for Eva Kostic, actress in 17 (North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, 2026, 105 min.). This latter production also received the Audience Award.
In the short film category, Heartbeat (United States, 2025, 31 min.) by Jay Rosenblatt and Stephanie Rapp was recognized as the Best Short Film. Additionally, a special mention was given to Honey, My Love, So Sweet (Philippines, 2025, 20 min.) by JT Trinidad.
The Panorama España Award went to Las líneas discontinuas (Spain, 2025, 90 min.) by Anxos Fazáns, and the documentary Sucia (Spain, 2026, 82 min.) by Bàrbara Mestanza and Marc Pujolar received a special mention. In the Canarias Cinema section, La lucha (Spain, Colombia, 2025, 92 min.) by José Alayón won the Richard Leacock Award for Best Feature Film, while Somos islas (Spain, 2025, 6 min.) by Marta Torrecilla was awarded the Richard Leacock Award for Best Short Film and the Digital Distribution Award 104. The CIMA Award went to editor Emma Tusell for her work on La lucha.
