The incident occurred around 5:15 AM, when a patrol unit conducting security rounds on León y Castillo street was alerted by a young woman. Upon arrival, officers found the 20-year-old victim lying on the ground unconscious, suffering from facial injuries and bleeding from the head.
According to witness accounts, the victim was attacked by a group of approximately ten individuals who fled towards Franchy Roca street following the assault. Based on descriptions provided, officers located a group of eight people shortly after at the intersection of Luis Morote and General Vives streets.
The four detainees, aged between 15 and 20, had bloodstains on their clothing and were identified by the victim's companion. The injured man was rushed to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
Authorities have kept the investigation open to identify and locate the remaining participants in the attack, as the group involved consisted of about ten people.
