The operation, carried out by the UDYCO (Drug and Organized Crime Unit) of Las Palmas, has resulted in the arrest of three individuals allegedly belonging to the network. The investigation, which began in early 2026, uncovered a logistical infrastructure for introducing drugs into the inter-island distribution circuit, using rental vans and companies from the Canary Islands' logistics sector.
The organization received hashish from Morocco and prepared it for distribution. Investigators determined that they used various transporters and rental vehicles to hinder police tracking. One of their methods involved camouflaging the illicit merchandise among agricultural products, such as the corn cobs seized during the operation.
During the operational phase, several vans were seized, and the network is estimated to have suffered an economic loss of nearly 700,000 euros. The three detainees have been remanded in custody by judicial order. The investigation remains open, and further actions are not ruled out to locate other potential members of the organization.
