The measure, which came into effect at 08:00 on Monday, June 8, primarily aims to optimize the coordination of various municipal services involved in the special operation prepared for the Pontiff's visit. The goal is to ensure safety and order in anticipation of a massive influx of people in different parts of the city.
The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies has reported that this activation will allow for the effective mobilization and coordination of security, emergency, mobility, and citizen assistance resources. Attendees are advised to prioritize public transport, avoid unnecessary travel if not attending the scheduled events, and always follow the instructions of security and organization personnel.
Health authorities have also issued recommendations for heat protection, such as wearing hats and maintaining proper hydration. It is advised to avoid excessively crowded areas and not to carry objects that could hinder mobility. For minors, it is recommended they attend accompanied and carry some form of identification.
In case of any incident, authorities recommend contacting the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 and always facilitating the work of the intervention teams.
