The City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, through its Department of Equality and Diversity, has organized a special program to celebrate LGTBI+ Pride 2026. The events, taking place over the weekend, are designed for all citizens and will include music, family activities, social gathering spaces, and advocacy actions.
The Councilor for Equality, Diversity, and Citizen Participation, Betsaida González, emphasized that the celebration is an opportunity to build a city where freedom, safety, and dignity are cornerstones for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. She highlighted the diversity and inclusivity of the program, aimed at celebrating achievements and fostering a more respectful and egalitarian society.

The program will kick off on Friday, June 26th, with 'Orgullo al Ritmo' (Pride to the Rhythm) at Plaza de Canarias starting at 8:30 PM. This event will feature host Roberto Herrera, a performance by Mel Ömna DJ Set, entertainment, and a show by drag queen Grimassira Maeva, along with a variety of foodtrucks offering diverse culinary options.
On Saturday, June 27th, Plaza de España will host 'Orgullo en Familia' (Pride in Family) from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a family-friendly event featuring bouncy castles, craft workshops, face painting, badge and bead making, and a performance by clown Rafaelillo. This initiative aims to promote values such as respect and inclusion from an early age.
On the same Saturday, at 7:00 PM, the Colectivo Gamá is organizing the 2026 Pride Demonstration, which will depart from Avenida José Mesa y López and conclude at Plaza de Canarias.
The events will conclude with the Final Pride Party at Plaza de Canarias from 10:00 PM to 12:30 AM, featuring sets by DJ Carla Cias and DJ Jia Miles, along with foodtrucks and social spaces for a festive night.
