The project, carried out between Cerezos and Estufa streets, has rehabilitated a 300-millimeter diameter collector pipe that had leaks in its joints. The intervention was performed from inside the pipe, thus avoiding the need for trenches and minimizing impact on traffic and the urban environment.
This technology allows for the recovery of existing pipelines without conventional replacement, leading to faster interventions with less impact on public spaces and daily neighborhood activities. The work is part of the municipal strategy for infrastructure conservation.
The use of trenchless rehabilitation systems is being incorporated in various parts of the municipality, particularly in areas where traditional excavation could cause greater disruption to traffic, residents, and businesses.
