The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council has announced the reopening of the road connecting Llanos de María Rivera and La Milagrosa to traffic, after a landslide triggered by storm Therese forced its closure.
The operation, coordinated by the municipal departments of Cleaning and Roads and Works, successfully restored safety to the road. The Cleaning service deployed a team consisting of an intermediate manager, a driver, and two specialized operators, supported by mechanical equipment for debris removal.
A light vehicle and a street washer truck were used for road cleaning, applying approximately 6,000 liters of water to remove debris and clean the pavement. Meanwhile, the Roads and Works department mobilized three dump trucks and an excavator, along with two operators, to clear the material dragged by the landslide.
