Two masked individuals, armed with machetes, assaulted a supermarket in Tafira Alta, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, last Tuesday afternoon, making off with the day's takings and causing alarm among the local community.

The incident occurred around 6:30 PM on Tuesday, when the assailants stormed the establishment, known as Hermanos Rogelio, in the Tafira Alta area. This event has highlighted the growing concern among residents of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria regarding a perceived "lack of security" in the capital of Gran Canaria.

This robbery follows other recent incidents on the island. A few weeks ago, a gaming arcade in the Las Remudas neighborhood of Telde was assaulted by eleven masked individuals who used sledgehammers and crowbars to access money from the machines.
