Oppositions in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: Public Employment Offer approved with 85 positions
The Governing Board approves the 2026 Public Employment Offer to strengthen the municipal structure and improve public services.

The Governing Board of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council has approved the Public Employment Offer (OPE) for 2026, which includes 85 positions aimed at strengthening the local administration and optimizing public service delivery.
The municipal corporation reported that the offer is divided into 48 open-access positions, covering vacancies due to retirements and other staff departures, and 37 internal promotion positions for the professional development of existing personnel.
Among the open-access roles are positions such as general administrative technicians, management technicians, administrators, architects, economists, industrial engineers, civil engineers, lawyers, psychologists, safety and emergency technicians, healthcare personnel, and other professional categories.
Internal promotion includes positions within the Local Police, the Fire and Rescue Service, and General Administration, aiming to enhance the careers of municipal employees and the efficiency of services.

The offer complies with the staff replacement rate established by state regulations and is the preliminary step to the corresponding selection processes.
