Regarding the different ports managed by the Authority, the Port of Las Palmas registered a slight decrease of -0.59%, handling 18,390,927 tons up to July. Meanwhile, the Port of Arrecife saw an increase of +1.57%, reaching 1,186,020 tons. The Port of Puerto del Rosario showed a minor drop of -0.36% with 965,664 tons. Also noteworthy are the Port of Arinaga, which increased its traffic by +5.81% to 155,883 tons, and the Port of Salinetas, with a significant increase of +24.89%, totaling 430,574 tons.
The year-on-year variation up to July 2026 compared to 2025 for the Authority's five ports reveals key data across several indicators. Passenger traffic grew by +5.02%, with 2,168,907 passengers, broken down into a -1.28% change in regular line traffic and a notable +9.61% increase in cruise traffic. Merchandise tonnage rose by +0.21%, totaling 19,402,124 tons. Frozen fish tonnage experienced a strong surge of +52.32% (237,850 tons), while fresh fish increased by +22.83% (452 tons). Fuel supply decreased by -5.18%, with 1,512,989 tons. In terms of containers, TEU units increased by +4.08% (913,366 units), although general cargo in containers saw a decrease of -1.46% (9,372,231 tons). Ro-Ro traffic, both in units and tonnage, showed increases of +3.11% and +4.98% respectively.
Focusing on the Port of Las Palmas, the year-on-year variation from July 2026 to 2025 shows a +6.33% increase in passenger traffic (1,440,079 passengers), with a particular boost of +15.87% in cruise traffic. Merchandise tonnage experienced a slight decrease of -0.35% (16,703,109 tons). Frozen fish grew by +53.26% (234,476 tons). Fuel supply dropped by -5.17% (1,508,159 tons). TEU units increased by +4.42% (847,316 TEU), and Ro-Ro traffic grew in both units (+5.11%) and tonnage (+7.02%).
