The Santa Brígida Town Council has implemented special traffic and public transport measures for the Shakedown of the Rally Islas Canarias 2026, scheduled for Thursday, April 23.

The initial stage of the Rally Islas Canarias 2026 will commence in Santa Brígida on Thursday, April 23, at 11:00 AM. To ensure safety and smooth operation, the local council has planned street closures beginning on Wednesday, April 22.
The test section, spanning 6.26 kilometers, will run between the Pino Santo and Las Cadenas (Las Meleguinas) roads. This will necessitate the closure of roads GC-324, GC-320, and GC-151, affecting various intersections and specific road segments. The traffic closures will be in effect from 10:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, until 1:30 PM on Thursday, April 23. Residents in affected areas can apply for a special pass to manage access.
The public transport company Guaguas Global has announced service enhancements to facilitate spectator access to the Shakedown. Lines 301 (connecting Santa Catalina with Santa Brígida), 302 (between San Telmo and Santa Brígida), and 318 (linking Santa Brígida and Pino Santo) will have adjusted routes and schedules. The service will remain operational up to three hours before road closures.
Some bus stops will be temporarily out of service near the affected section, including locations such as Los Hoyos, El Sabinal, and the Riding School. Alternatively, stops have been set up at strategic points like the Psychiatric Hospital, Marzagán, and the Cruce de 7 Puertas. Recommended transfers have been established for users traveling from La Calzada or 7 Puertas to Santa Brígida, or vice versa, at the Casa del Gallo interchange.
