The Salinetas industrial park in Telde is set for a significant transformation this summer with the installation of a fire hydrant network and the creation of a one-kilometer green corridor.

These enhancements, driven by the Salinetas Industrial Park Conservation Entity (Ecosalinetas), aim to rehabilitate the area and address years of accumulated deterioration. The project includes renovating sidewalks, removing pedestrian obstacles, and clearing undergrowth, beautifying the access from the highway to the commercial zone.
The main investment, totaling 696,000 euros, will be allocated to the hydrant network, a basic and mandatory fire protection infrastructure that was previously non-existent. This measure will ensure water supply for firefighting services, reducing response times and minimizing fire spread risk in an environment with diverse industrial activities.
With the same investment, and in coordination with the hydrant installation, the industrial park's sidewalks will be renovated. The current hydraulic tile pavement will be replaced with a continuous concrete surface, suitable for heavy occasional traffic. Additionally, urban elements will be adapted, pedestrian routes will be made continuous by removing obstacles, new sidewalks will be created in unpaved sections, and invasive species like 'rabo de gato' will be removed.
The green corridor, with an investment of 141,000 euros, will focus on the landscaping and beautification of Sebastián Jiménez Álvarez Avenue, the main access road to the industrial and residential area. Improvements include enhancing the median's landscaping with native shrub vegetation adapted to coastal areas and optimizing the existing irrigation system.

"We have continued what he had already started."
