The organizing entity, Arista Eventos, will soon reveal details regarding registration opening, as well as the locations and routes for the various distances that will comprise the event. The race will continue to offer modalities for all types of runners, from elite athletes to beginners, and will include popular children's races to promote sports among the youth.
On the international circuit, the Classic distance will maintain its integration into the World Trail Majors series. Meanwhile, the Marathon, which was the most popular modality in 2026 with 1,800 participants, will compete in the Short Series by World Trail Majors. The North Face brand will continue to be the title sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, as part of a collaboration extending until 2029.
The 2026 edition set historical figures, with over 6,000 athletes from 75 countries, 44% of whom were international. Female participation reached 1,617 registered runners, a 70% increase compared to 2024, highlighting the organization's commitment to equality in sports.
The 2026 live streaming broadcast surpassed 220,000 viewers during more than 20 hours of live coverage, with a team of 40 people narrating in Spanish and English. Over 100 accredited journalists, mostly international photographers and videographers, confirmed the global interest in the event, which is consolidated as one of the most followed trail running events worldwide.
