Despite a victory against Deportivo de La Coruña at Riazor in the final matchday (1-2), the yellow team did not manage to climb to third place. Now, the challenge of returning to the top flight lies against Málaga, who has proven to be the only top-tier rival against whom they have not earned points this season, suffering 0-1 defeats at home and 2-0 at La Rosaleda.

The return leg will be played on Wednesday, June 10th, also at 8:00 PM (island time), at the Málaga venue on the Costa del Sol.
