ULPGC Launches Digital Humanities Master's and Strengthens Internal Control

The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) has approved the implementation of a new Master's in Intelligent Digital Humanities, while also reinforcing its Internal Control Service with new hires and technical mechanisms.

The Plenary of the Social Council of the ULPGC greenlit the proposal for the new Master's, highlighting its academic, organizational, and strategic coherence. This qualification is positioned within a booming knowledge sector, with international projection and significant development potential in areas related to the digitalization of cultural content and the use of advanced technologies.
During the same session, a work plan for the university's Internal Control Service was solidified. This initiative includes the hiring of additional staff and the strengthening of its technical tools, aiming to optimize the institution's internal management.
Furthermore, the Audit Report for the ULPGC's accounts corresponding to the 2024 fiscal year was presented. This document, prepared by the Canarian Audit Office, will be thoroughly analyzed by the Economic Commission to ensure continuous monitoring of implemented measures and contribute to strengthening the university's economic-financial management.
