The situation affected two flights bound for Málaga, preventing the yellow team's supporters from attending the game. One of those affected, Hugo Sánchez-Tembleque Meneses, a 20-year-old season ticket holder from the South stand, was scheduled to fly at 8:50 AM but found no available seats.
Sánchez-Tembleque was offered the option to fly the following day, Sunday, which was unfeasible for him to attend the match scheduled for that same afternoon. This situation resulted in an estimated financial loss of 70 euros, including the ticket cost for the visitor section at La Rosaleda and the round-trip airfare.
“"When I went to check in at the counter, they told me it was full due to overbooking and offered me to fly tomorrow. The plane was full and affected about ten fans."
The fan attempted to find last-minute alternatives to reach Málaga, even exploring a connection via Barcelona with Air Europa, but without success. The inability to travel caused him deep frustration, describing his anger as “a huge annoyance, a major annoyance.”
Ultimately, Sánchez-Tembleque and the other 25 affected fans will have to watch the match from home, despite their investment and eagerness to support their team live. Despite the disappointment, the young man remains hopeful for his team's victory.
