The Diginnova program continues to provide individuals with university degrees and Higher Vocational Training with opportunities to expand their knowledge, improve their professional profiles, and gain experience in companies and research centers in the Canary Islands.
Managed by the University Foundation of Las Palmas (FULP), the program combines specialized training with a paid practical internship, focusing on areas of significant business relevance such as innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability.
The training, which is free for beneficiaries, is delivered online and comprises a seven-month itinerary of 180 hours. New enrollment dates are opened periodically, allowing interested individuals to join the program at different times of the year. Upon completion of the modules, participants receive a certificate from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), equivalent to 7.2 ECTS credits.
The training content is structured into three key areas: innovation (competitiveness, entrepreneurship, project management), digital transformation (digital technologies, strategy, business models, digital marketing), and sustainability (Agenda 2030, Sustainable Development Goals, regulatory compliance, and environmental certifications).
From the fourth month onwards, participants can opt for a four-month paid non-employment internship in Canary Islands companies or research centers. These internships, with a maximum duration of 30 hours per week and a gross monthly remuneration of 814.28 euros, offer the chance to acquire professional experience and gain direct insight into the operations and needs of organizations.
In the previous edition, approximately 40% of participants were hired by the companies where they completed their internships, reflecting the program's connection to the needs of the Canary Islands' business sector.
Diginnova is part of the policies of the Canary Agency for Research, Innovation, and Information Society aimed at developing innovative human capital in the Canary Islands.
