Hiker injured near Roque Nublo

A 74-year-old woman was injured this Friday after suffering a fall while hiking on the access trail to Roque Nublo, in the municipality of Tejeda, Gran Canaria.

The incident occurred around 1:30 PM on the well-known trail leading to the emblematic natural monument. Emergency services were alerted to assist the affected individual.
The hiker sustained a moderate leg trauma, according to initial assessments, with no apparent serious complications at the time of assistance.
After receiving first aid at the scene, the woman was transferred by a basic life support ambulance from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) to the Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria for further evaluation and treatment.
