During the Social Welfare Commission meeting, data on interventions carried out in April was presented. A total of 175 disinsection and deratization actions were executed across the city's five districts, distributed evenly to address both scheduled plans and citizen-reported incidents.
The municipal service performed 24 deratization and 25 disinsection interventions in all districts. Additionally, the concessionaire company for municipal pest control carried out 126 extra actions, including 112 in streets, 13 in parks, and one in municipal facilities, as part of reinforced preventive and monitoring tasks.
These combined efforts bring the total interventions to 175 during April, strengthening the municipal system to improve health conditions throughout the municipality. All work is conducted using authorized products registered with the Official Biocides Registry of the Ministry of Health, ensuring safety for both people and animals.
The pest control service reviews its weekly schedule to reinforce areas with higher incidence, aiming for preventive action and responding to detected needs in various neighborhoods. Citizens can report issues via phone at 928 448 745 or email at controldeplagas@laspalmasgc.es.
