The Government of the Canary Islands has extended a temporary program focused on occupational and psychosocial risk prevention within the Department of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Childhood and Families.

The resolution, effective from December 30, 2026, allows for the maintenance of the technical structure created to implement necessary corrective measures in the department's centers. This decision addresses the need to ensure compliance with preventive actions that cannot be covered by the administration's ordinary resources.
The team responsible for these tasks consists of ten specialists, including prevention technicians, a psychologist, administrative staff, and a section head. These professionals carry out their work distributed between the offices in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
This measure, initially authorized in 2025, will remain in effect as long as the circumstances that led to its creation persist and budget availability exists, in accordance with the maximum deadlines established by current regulations.
