The Canary Islands are facing a significant temperature increase this Saturday, with several areas exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, while the northeast wind blows with moderate to strong intensity.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts that the thermal rise will be more pronounced in the midlands and peaks, as well as on the southern and southeastern slopes of the islands. This heat contrasts with the relief experienced after Thursday's storm, which had temporarily cooled the environment.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is emerging as one of the heat epicenters, with predicted highs of 30 ºC and lows not dropping below 23 ºC. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures will range between 24 ºC and 28 ºC. The interior of the islands, including parts of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote, will also record highs close to 30 ºC.
The northeast component wind will be another protagonist, with warnings of locally very strong gusts on the southeastern and northwestern slopes of the mountainous islands, especially during the early morning and late afternoon. Intense gusts are expected in Gran Canaria, southern Jandía in Fuerteventura, and areas of La Gomera, El Hierro, and northwestern Tenerife.
On the coast, the maritime situation will require caution due to east or northeast winds of force 5 to 6, which will generate moderate to rough seas. Waves of 1 to 2 meters are expected. The skies, in general, will be mostly clear, except for cloudy intervals in the north of the larger islands in the early and late hours of the day.
Island-specific forecasts detail highs of 30 ºC in Arrecife (Lanzarote) and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Tenerife), 28 ºC in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Gran Canaria) and San Sebastián de La Gomera (La Gomera), and 27 ºC in Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura) and Santa Cruz de La Palma (La Palma). Valverde (El Hierro) will record highs of 24 ºC.
