This measure aims to make it easier for citizens to book padel courts and other municipal facilities during the summer period in the Salud-La Salle district. The new rental schedule, effective from July 1st to August 31st, will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A morning slot for padel court rentals is being introduced from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, the complex will be open from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and on Sundays from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Facilities will be closed on public holidays.
The sports complex features five padel courts, three of which are covered, and a free-use multi-sport court, all available by prior reservation. The extension is in response to high summer demand, as highlighted by the mayor of the Tinerfeñan capital, who emphasized the goal of promoting an active lifestyle within the municipality.
The Councillor for Sports explained that the schedule modification addresses user requests, aiming to provide more options for balancing sports practice with holidays, work, and family reconciliation during the summer months.
The online reservation system allows for bookings on the website santacruzentrena.es. From the 1st to the 24th of each month, reservations for the current month can be made, and from the 25th (or the next business day), reservations for the following month open. In-person payments, available from the 25th until the end of the month, are made by bank card at the Mobile Office located next to the Quico Cabrera pavilion.
Additionally, the Sports Service reminds the public that padel courts can also be reserved at the Las Delicias Sports Centre, operating Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and on weekends and holidays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. For tennis enthusiasts, the Tío Pino Municipal Tennis Centre offers three courts with a similar schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and weekends and holidays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
