Emergency personnel remain at the scene carrying out ventilation work and securing the perimeter to prevent any resurgence of the fire, which started around 6:30 AM.
According to available information, the origin of the fire is linked to a garbage collection truck coming into contact with an electrical cable, which reportedly generated sparks and subsequently started the fire.
The fire's proximity to the Aldeas Infantiles center prompted the preventive activation of its safety protocols. The facilities were prepared for a potential evacuation of the children, but ultimately, no evacuation was necessary due to the swift intervention of emergency services.
The actions of the firefighters and other emergency services allowed for the flames to be controlled and prevented from spreading to nearby facilities.
