The patron saint festivities of El Rosario, held in Machado in honor of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, included one of its most significant events: the IV Festival de Solistas. This festival paid an emotional tribute to Elías Rodríguez, a resident noted for his close ties to the municipality's folklore and popular culture.
The event, which drew a large audience to the Plaza de la Ermita, began with a traditional stick-fighting exhibition by the Los Verga family. Subsequently, the festival, under the musical direction of Marco del Castillo, featured a distinguished lineup of vocalists. Performances included Yeray Rodríguez, Pedro Manuel Afonso, Nico Delgado, José Manuel Ramos, Ramón Jeréz, and Luis Ramos, along with other invited soloists.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening was the tribute to Elías Rodríguez. The mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, presented him with a commemorative plaque in recognition of his contribution to local folklore. Rodríguez's wife and family were presented with bouquets of flowers as a token of affection and gratitude.
