During the third weekend of August, which includes the August 15th holiday and amid reinforced border controls for travelers from Italy, the archipelago will see a total of 3,863 air operations, with 1,379 of them being international.
Gran Canaria Airport will be the busiest this Sunday, with 369 scheduled flights. It is followed by Tenerife North Airport, with 248 operations, and Lanzarote Airport, with 220.
Nationally, Aena forecasts a total of 22,444 flights for this weekend. Sunday is expected to be the busiest day across Spain, with 7,492 scheduled flights, closely followed by Saturday (7,479) and Friday (7,473).
