Canary Islands Resolves 1,348 University Scholarship Applications for Over 766,000 Euros
The Ministry of Universities, Science and Innovation of the Government of the Canary Islands advances in processing aid for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The Ministry of Universities, Science and Innovation of the Government of the Canary Islands has issued the second definitive resolution for scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year, benefiting 1,348 students with a total of 766,879.63 euros.
This new resolution is part of a process that has managed a total of 10,446 applications, marking significant progress in the administration of these aids aimed at facilitating access to higher education. With this advancement, the overall management volume has now reached 49.28% of the total planned for the call.
In this second definitive phase, 395 applications have been approved, distributed among students from the University of La Laguna, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and other public academic institutions outside the archipelago. The aid covers various needs such as accommodation, transport, income, disability, and academic fees.
The disbursement of 551,788.19 euros to beneficiaries will be made imminently, while the remaining 215,091.64 euros, corresponding to academic fees, was already advanced directly to the universities last December.
