Candela Festival Returns to Puerto Naos to Boost Cultural and Economic Recovery

The fourth edition of the event, supported by the Cabildo de La Palma and the Los Llanos de Aridane City Council, aims to revitalize the area after the volcanic eruption.

The Candela Festival will celebrate its fourth edition next Saturday, May 2, in Puerto Naos, establishing itself as a key cultural event for the social and economic revitalization of this area of La Palma following the volcanic eruption.

This event, supported by the Cabildo de La Palma, through the public company Sodepal, and in collaboration with the Los Llanos de Aridane City Council, will bring together a wide array of artists starting at 12:00 PM. Canary Islands talent, particularly that of artists from La Palma, will play a special role in this edition.

The same councilor also highlighted the festival's role as an essential platform for the archipelago's talent. She noted that the Candela Festival offers an opportunity to showcase the quality and diversity of Canary Islands artists, while also creating an additional attraction for both residents and visitors to the island.

The festival organizer emphasized the project's core essence, which focuses on supporting local and regional talent. He explained that Candela was born with the aim of giving prominence to local art, creating a space where artists can connect with the public and demonstrate the great creative potential present in the Canary Islands.
The lineup for this fourth edition will feature renowned artists from the regional scene, many of them linked to La Palma, such as Los Vinagres, Xente & La Banda, and Manu Echeva, in addition to the Sambawara batucada, among others. Complementing the musical program, the festival will include an art and craft fair that will run from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, expanding the cultural offerings and making the day a complete experience for all audiences.
