Preparing for the Rally Islas Canarias, a world-class event, involves a considerable financial investment and significant personal effort. A local driver, who will compete alongside his co-driver in a Renault Clio Rally4, has indicated that the cost of participating in this event amounts to approximately 10,000 euros.
“"It's not easy to compete; there's a lot of work and money behind it. It costs us about 10,000 euros to participate."
The 31-year-old competitor expressed his excitement and nervousness for the event, which he considers a dream come true. He highlighted the thrill of seeing the island's roads filled with fans and the opportunity to race at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. Despite the pressure, his main goal is to enjoy and finish the race without issues, aiming to give his best in each stage.
His passion for motorsport was instilled by his father, whom he honors in every race. Although tire costs are among the highest expenses, the driver prefers to sacrifice other competitions to participate in this rally, comparing it to the Champions League in football due to its magnitude and the support of the Canarian fans.
