After a period of reflection, the coach from Oviedo, Luis García, has publicly announced his farewell to UD Las Palmas and its fanbase. In a statement shared on his social media, García expressed his gratitude to all parties involved at the club, acknowledging that despite not achieving the main objective, he gave his utmost effort.
The Asturian coach confirmed that the decision not to continue next season was made "in agreement with the entity and the President." "It has been a considered and not easy decision," he stated, highlighting the "great moments" experienced and the personal and professional growth during his time on the island.

"After such an intense and demanding season, I want to thank the club for the trust and respect in offering me the opportunity to take a time for reflection. Finally, and in agreement with the entity and the President, we have decided not to continue at the club next season."

Luis García began his acknowledgments by addressing the President, Miguel Ángel Ramírez, for his "loyalty and trust," and the sporting direction, led by Luis Helguera, whom he described as "architects of a recognizable UD." The yellow-clad fans received special thanks for their "tireless push" both at home and away.
