A night journey by Fred Olsen between Los Cristianos and Santa Cruz de La Palma was impacted by intense waves, resulting in damage to 14 vehicles transported on the ferry.

The incident took place on Friday night, when the vessel, covering the route from the Port of Los Cristianos to Santa Cruz de La Palma, encountered northern component seas with waves reaching up to four meters in height.
The adverse sea conditions caused significant movements and pitching of the ship, leading to displacements of up to 30 centimeters for the vehicles. Such incidents are infrequent on the company's usual crossings.
Fred Olsen has announced that it will manage the damage claims. Starting Monday, the company will contact affected passengers to process the corresponding claims.
