The local club, UD Longuera Toscal, and the Autonomous Sports Body of La Laguna (OAD) have issued statements condemning the events. UD Longuera Toscal expressed its "absolute condemnation" and rejected "any act of violence," assuring that disciplinary measures will be taken against those involved and that they will cooperate with authorities to clarify what happened.
The northern entity deeply regretted the situations reported by Club Deportivo Verdellada, emphasizing that football "cannot and should not become a space for tension, threats, or confrontations." They confirmed that their institution "will not condone any conduct that goes against the values of respect, coexistence, and sportsmanship."
For its part, the OAD of La Laguna showed its "strongest condemnation of the serious incidents suffered by CD Verdellada," a club from La Laguna, within the framework of Tenerife's youth football. They insisted that violence "has no place in sports," especially in formative categories, and sent their support to those affected.
These official positions come shortly after CD Verdellada publicly reported an ambush at the end of the youth football match. According to video evidence, local fans physically assaulted the team's coach and a defender, forcing the entire delegation to confine themselves in the locker rooms for protection. The Local Police of Los Realejos intervened to escort the visiting team, during which a group stoned the bus, breaking several windows and directly endangering the physical integrity of the minor players and their coaches.
