The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has detailed the weather forecast for the Canary Islands, which this Wednesday will feature intervals of clouds, especially in the north of the mountainous islands, while the south will enjoy clearer skies. The north wind will be the dominant feature, with greater intensity on exposed slopes. Sea conditions will be characterized by winds of force 4 to 6 and a northerly swell with waves up to 1 meter.
This trend will continue into Thursday, with cloudy intervals in the north and mostly clear skies in the south, and an increase in the north to northeast wind in the afternoon. On Friday, cloud cover will be concentrated in the north of the mountainous islands and Lanzarote, with clear skies or high cloud intervals elsewhere in the archipelago. Temperatures are expected to remain stable throughout the week.
The island-specific forecast details similar conditions: Lanzarote and Fuerteventura anticipate cloudy intervals with a low probability of occasional drizzle in northern Lanzarote. Gran Canaria will have mostly clear skies with intervals in the north and breezes in the southwest. In Tenerife, predominantly clear skies are expected in the east, with light northerly winds. La Gomera, La Palma, and El Hierro will also experience cloudy intervals, with the northern parts of the islands being cloudier and experiencing north winds.
Minimum temperatures will hover around 20°C on most islands, with highs ranging between 23°C and 27°C, being slightly cooler on El Hierro (maximums of 18°C).
