The Antigua Town Council, through its Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, will present awards this Saturday, April 18, to eight local producers at the Feaga 2026 fair.

The ceremony will take place at the municipal stand of Antigua within the framework of Feaga 2026. This event aims to highlight the dedication and commitment of those who work the land and contribute to the development of the primary sector in the region.
Among the honorees are farmers Francisco Lasso, José Jacob Negrín, Roque Cabrera, José Villalobos, and Rayco Machín. Additionally, the work of the producing companies Fran y Chemi, Agualoe, and Verdeaurora will be recognized, all of them noted for their zero-kilometer production in the municipality.

"They will receive the gratitude of their town and municipality for cultivating the land and feeding the present and future of all."
