The automotive event, officially presented in Teror this Tuesday, is set to be the grand finale of the Fiesta del Pino sports program. The Escudería Aterura, in collaboration with the Teror City Council, has organized an event highlighted by its large number of participants.
The official entry list, far exceeding one hundred participants, includes six units in the rally2 category, vying for the top positions. Other teams with powerful cars and a variety of vehicles complete the roster of competitors.
Car number 1 will be driven by Toñi Ponce and Raúl Quesada in a Hyundai I20, as a special tribute to the driver. They will be followed by Yoday Betancor and Pedro Viera in another Hyundai I20 (number 2), and Luis Monzón and Edu González in a Toyota Yaris (number 3). Car 0 will be a Lancia Ypsilon rally4 from Orvecame, crewed by Manu Naranjo and Ángel Naranjo.
In the RS category, the current leaders of the Provincial Championship, Olegario Reyes and Alejandro Cabrera, will compete in their BMW 323i, closely followed by Jorge Luján and Sergio Monzón, also in a BMW.
Following the presentation and the publication of the official list, administrative and technical verifications will take place on Friday afternoon at the Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pino. Subsequently, at 8:30 PM, the Start Ceremony will be held, with the cars parked in the Parc Fermé in front of the Basilica.
The rally will traverse the timed stages of Teror-Utiaca, Artenara-Cruz de Tejeda, and Zumacal-Los Castillos. Regrouping points will be located in the urban center of Teror. After completing the eight special stages, the final arrival in Teror is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
The event is supported by the Teror City Council, its departments, the local company AGUAS DE TEROR, and private sponsors such as EMICELA and ORVECAME (Lancia brand). It also receives institutional backing from the Sports Department of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through the Insular Institute of Sports and the Federation of Motorsport of Las Palmas.
