The Arrecife City Council has initiated a public tender for the management of hammock and umbrella services at El Reducto beach, the main beach in Lanzarote's capital, offering interested companies until June 8 to submit their proposals.

The Beaches Department of the Arrecife City Council has commenced the process to contract hammock and umbrella services for the emblematic El Reducto beach. This beach, recognized with the Blue Flag for its water quality, accessibility, and services, is a key attraction for local tourism.
Companies wishing to bid for this concession have until June 8 to formalize their applications. The tender aims to ensure that the beach continues to offer these essential services to its users.
According to the established specifications, the Beaches Department holds authorization from Costas until the end of 2029. This guarantees the continuity of a designated area with hammocks and umbrellas at El Reducto, which will be located in the sector closest to the hotel establishments, facilitating access for visitors.
The importance of these services is underscored by the fact that a large number of the 640,000 cruise passengers who arrived in Arrecife during the 2025-2026 season visited this beach, highlighting its tourist appeal.
