The council opens today, September 1st, the application period for these competitive subsidies. The grants are intended to cover expenses related to sports activities, equipment, travel, and participation in competitions.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, highlighted the City Council's commitment to sports, calling it a fundamental area for the municipality, especially for children and young people. He emphasized the effort and dedication of clubs, schools, and athletes, and the council's desire to support them and facilitate their development.
For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Alexis Hernández, stressed that these grants are a key tool for local entities and athletes to cover the expenses generated by sports practice throughout the season. He valued that the subsidies reach over 40 entities and individual athletes, directly benefiting more than 1,000 children.
Hernández added that the goal is to continue strengthening San Bartolomé's sports fabric and ensure that clubs and athletes have the necessary resources to represent the municipality.
The application period for interested individuals and entities will be 30 business days, starting tomorrow, September 1st, and ending on October 14, 2026. Sports entities and schools must be registered in the Municipal Registry, while individual athletes must be registered residents of San Bartolomé and not be part of a municipal entity or school.
