A total of 53 tourism companies and services in Fuerteventura have revalidated or obtained for the first time the distinctions from the Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destinations (SICTED), recognizing their commitment to excellence.

The Fuerteventura Tourism Board has managed the delivery of these awards, part of a program promoted nationally by the State Secretariat for Tourism, SEGITTUR, and the FEMP. The objective is to reward dedication to quality and continuous improvement, strengthening competitiveness and standardizing best practices in visitor service.
The Minister of Tourism for the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Marlene Figueroa, highlighted the strength that this sectorial involvement represents for the destination. She emphasized the need to adapt improvement processes to a rapidly changing tourism environment, advocating for a vision of tourism that serves society and its citizens.
This year, SICTED has initiated a profound methodological transformation, expanding its best practice manuals and evaluation systems to integrate key aspects such as sustainability, intelligent digitalization, and resilience. These areas are considered essential for coherence in the improvement of companies, services, and destinations.
The program's renewal also includes a new corporate image, more virtualized training in adapted formats for sector workers' schedules, and a simplified, intuitive web platform. The Tourism Board will provide technical assistance to facilitate this transition for distinguished and affiliated companies.
