The Plaza de Nuestra Señora de La Peña will be the venue next Saturday, September 19th, at 7:30 PM, for the Encuentro de Solistas, an event celebrating traditional Canarian music and the convergence of voices from the Archipelago.
Soloists from various islands will participate: Patricia Muñoz from Tenerife; Iván Quintana and Mariví Cabo from Gran Canaria; Ciro Corujo from Lanzarote; and the Fuerteventura natives Esteban Ramírez and Marey Martín. They will be accompanied by a group of musicians including Isidro Ramírez (double bass), Silvestre Ramírez (lute), Aga Umpiérrez (timple), Misael Jordán (guitar), and Fernando García (percussion).
This initiative is part of the Fiestas de La Peña program, which annually transforms the Vega de Río Palmas into a cultural meeting point for the population of Fuerteventura, keeping the island's traditions alive.
The celebrations, which combine devotion, tradition, and culture centered around the patron saint of Fuerteventura, will take place from September 17th to 20th.
