The meeting, held in the Cantabrian capital, served to analyze the potential for exchange between both destinations. A key item on the agenda was the feasibility of establishing a regular air connection to facilitate the flow of travelers between the island and the northern region.
Representatives from both institutions noted that specialized forums, such as the AENA-Turespaña Air Connectivity Days and the Routes Europe fair, are the ideal setting to present this proposal to airlines. The goal is to leverage the complementary nature of both tourist profiles to create new market opportunities.
Following this initial contact, technical teams from both administrations will continue working on the identified collaboration lines to strengthen cross-promotion and improve accessibility between the two destinations.
