VII Women's Self-Defense Seminar in Gran Tarajal

Dojo Guaboren will hold the VII edition of the Women's Self-Defense Seminar next November 21st at the Gran Tarajal Sports Pavilion, aiming to promote equality and the transformative power of sport.

Over 700 women have participated in this training, which this year will be led by masters such as Juan José Lorenzo (Gran Canaria), Noelia Moreno (Madrid), Giuseppe Caracena (Italy), Alexis Alonso (Fuerteventura), and Francisco Querol (Valencia).
The Minister of Sports, Luis González, highlighted the support from the Cabildo de Fuerteventura for this event, emphasizing its social purpose in promoting equality through sports.
The mayor of Tuineje, David Herrera, thanked Dojo Guaboren for organizing the activity in the municipality, underscoring the transformative power of sport and the organization's effort.
The president of Dojo Guaboren, Alexis Alonso, encouraged participation and explained that the initiative is part of the Dojo's social inclusion project 'Stop to Violence'.
The Neighborhood Association ‘El Castillejo’ is responsible for the social aspect of the event, requiring the donation of one kilogram of non-perishable food or pet food for registration. Alonso extended his gratitude to the entities and individuals supporting the project and reminded that registrations can be made by calling 659 697 999.
Javier Alonso, president of the AAVV ‘El Castillejo’ of Tesjuate and Llanos Pelados, congratulated all the collaborators of the seminar for its solidarity aspect.
Present at the event were the marketing technician of Playitas Resort, Carlos Van Linden, councilwoman Victoria Cerdeña of Antigua, opposition councilor Sonia Álamo, and other representatives from Guaboren.
