Fuerteventura was represented at the VI Smart City Congress of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI), held in Málaga, through its Department of Strategic Projects. This event brings together administrations committed to developing smarter, more efficient, and livable territories.
The councilor for the area, Carmen Alonso, highlighted the importance of this meeting for gaining firsthand knowledge of projects, experiences, and solutions related to smart territories and improving public services. She also emphasized the opportunity to establish synergies with other administrations and entities within RECI.
During the congress, on September 15th, the Assembly of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities took place, with the Fuerteventura Island Council attending as a new member. This meeting addressed the network's main lines of work and promoted cooperation among its member administrations.
