A total of 51 migrants, including several minors, have been located adrift in an inflatable boat 92 kilometers southwest of Maspalomas, Gran Canaria.

The Maritime Rescue vessel Guardamar Urania has been dispatched for the rescue following the sighting of the dinghy by the ship Glovil Challenge. The initial alert came from the Civil Guard, which reported the departure of the vessel from Dajla, Western Sahara, on May 25th.
Attempts to contact a satellite phone for the boat's location were unsuccessful. The Glovil Challenge will remain with the dinghy until the Guardamar Urania arrives, expected around 5:30 PM (Canary time).
Once the rescue is complete, the migrants will be transferred to the port of Arguineguín for necessary assistance.
