The decision, announced by the Directorate General of Emergencies, is based on updated information from the State Meteorological Agency and other available sources. The measure is implemented in accordance with the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Adverse Meteorological Phenomena Risks (PEFMA).
The meteorological conditions that led to the declaration of the pre-alert have ceased, thus allowing the alert to be lifted in the aforementioned islands. The territorial scope affected included Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, and La Graciosa.
