Dreamland Gran Canaria is on the verge of officially signing a Czech center, a strategic move to bolster the team and ensure its continued presence in the top Spanish basketball league.

The sports entity from Gran Canaria is preparing to announce the return of a player who previously wore their colors between 2017 and 2019. This addition seeks to provide a crucial boost to consolidate their salvation in what has been a particularly challenging season for the club.
The 2.17-meter tall, 33-year-old center returns to the island after a career that took him through various European and Asian leagues. During his previous stint with the team, he averaged 8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and an 11 efficiency rating, delivering a notable performance on the court.

"A final push to consolidate salvation in a season that has been more than complex for the club, relying on an old acquaintance of the club who delivered more than solid performance on the island."

The player, who began his career in the USK Prague youth academy and debuted with the first team in the 2009-2010 season, has experience in the Spanish league, having played for teams such as Cajasol de Sevilla and CB Estudiantes before his first spell in Gran Canaria. His last experience in Spain was with Monbus Obradoiro in the 2024-2025 campaign.
In addition to this signing, the team is also awaiting the possible debut of another of its recent reinforcements, a point guard, who could make his first appearance this Sunday at the Palau Blaugrana against Barça. The official presentation of this latter player to the media is scheduled for next Monday.
