Lopesan Hotel Group becomes the new main sponsor of the J80 fleet at the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, sealing a six-year strategic agreement.
The agreement's central objective is to promote sports practice, support young Canary Island sailors, and enhance Gran Canaria's international image through nautical competition.
The collaboration, formalized by Grupo Lopesan President Eustasio López and Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria President Pedro Manuel Sánchez González, ensures the refurbishment and maintenance of the fleet's four vessels. The project will officially be named Flota J80 Lopesan - Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria.
The alliance focuses on fostering emerging talent among young Canary sailors through technical improvement and using sailing as a valuable educational tool. Four sailboats will be prepared for the club's school, featuring a modern design with geometric gradients in four distinct colors: emerald green, burgundy, anthracite blue, and mustard yellow. Lopesan Hotel Group's logo will be prominently displayed on the mainsails and hulls.

"Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to the comprehensive development of young talents, providing them with the necessary tools to professionally forge their path in the competitive arena."
Eustasio López highlighted the satisfaction of associating his company's image with an institution so representative of the islands, noting that the values of sailing, such as dedication, perseverance, and teamwork, fully align with Grupo Lopesan's corporate philosophy.
The project extends beyond mere competition, incorporating a significant social responsibility and sustainability focus. Four boats (Panterra, Txo, TGA, and Tembleque) will be recovered and given a new operational life. After their technical and structural refurbishment, this versatile fleet will host specific adapted sailing programs, ensuring safe access to the maritime environment for individuals with functional diversity.

"Having the direct support of a leading group in the tourism industry gives us the necessary confidence to strengthen the projection of this fleet, positioning the Gran Canarian capital as an essential and strategic destination within the demanding global nautical circuit."
The president of the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, Pity Sánchez, emphasized the agreement's importance as a vital stimulus for the sports entity's aspirations and its societal commitment. He remarked that the direct backing from a prominent tourism group provides the security needed to enhance the fleet's profile, positioning Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as a key nautical destination.
Both institutions reaffirm their conviction that sport and tourism must work together to generate a positive impact, ensuring through this renewed fleet a significant representation of Gran Canaria at various nautical and institutional events.
