Peruvian player Magui Frías, 29, has joined CV Emalsa Gran Canaria following a successful season with Fundación Cajasol Andalucía.

CV Emalsa Gran Canaria has announced the signing of Peruvian receiver Magui Frías, aged 29 and standing 1.86 meters tall, as a new reinforcement for the upcoming campaign. Frías arrives on the island after a standout season with Fundación Cajasol Andalucía, where she achieved a historic double by winning the Copa de SM La Reina Iberdrola and the Liga Iberdrola, thus securing her team's participation in the next Champions League.
Individually, Frías has maintained strong consistency in Spanish volleyball's elite. She finished the regular league as the second-best attacking receiver, the seventh-best receiver with a 66% efficiency, and scored a total of 322 points, demonstrating her offensive solidity and skill in game construction.
With extensive international experience, Frías has been a senior international for the Perú national team since her youth categories. She has played for clubs such as Sporting Cristal, Universidad San Martín, Alianza Lima, Turkey's Turkuaz Seramik, and Fundación Cajasol Andalucía for four years, establishing herself as a prominent figure in Peruvian volleyball.
Her record with the Peruvian national team includes the 2012 U-18 South American Championship and various international medals in youth categories, as well as appearances in continental and world competitions with the senior squad.
