The semifinal day of the Open Foncal 3.0 was marked by excitement and a high competitive level, attracting a large audience. Nearly 40 matches were played, solidifying the event as a prominent fixture in the regional sports calendar.
The federated draw, which began last Tuesday, saw the participation of approximately 400 athletes. Following the results of this intense day, the finalists are now defined and will compete for the title in a sporting and family-friendly atmosphere.
“"The Open Foncal is proving to be, pending the grand finale, the great pádel festival. We have successfully merged the best players from the Canarian circuit with the amateur scene, and participants have let us know they are thoroughly enjoying the event, which is a great satisfaction for the organization."
This historic gold-category tournament, the first of its kind, demonstrates its commitment to participation, diversity, and access to sports for all ages. It promotes values such as coexistence, camaraderie, and respect, inherent elements of this growing sport.
The finals will take place at the Gran Canaria Tenis & Pádel Center, the main facility featuring eight state-of-the-art panoramic courts. The event is organized by In Play Eventos, sponsored by Foncal, and supported by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council, and the Government of Canarias, in addition to the collaboration of the Canarian Pádel Federation and various private brands.
