The Canarian team, currently one point away from playoff positions, will play the first of its three remaining home games this Friday. The opponents will be Leganés, Valladolid, and Zaragoza, matches where victory is essential to keep promotion aspirations alive.
Despite the importance of these clashes, the Estadio de Gran Canaria has not been known for its high attendance this season. UD Las Palmas ranks fifth in the silver category with an average of 18,584 spectators per game, surpassed by stadiums such as La Rosaleda (Málaga), Riazor (Deportivo de La Coruña), and El Sardinero (Racing de Santander).
The highest attendance of the season was recorded against Deportivo de La Coruña with 25,193 fans, followed by matches against Málaga (22,039) and Racing de Santander (21,496). However, the average has decreased, with only 16,855 spectators at the last match against Huesca, a figure lower than the club's 23,500 season ticket holders.
The goal is none other than to fill the stands in the three finals at Siete Palmas and for the team to do the same in the four away games. With the challenge of getting back into playoff positions, the ultimate goal is to return to Primera, boosted by the club's greatest treasure: its supporters.
The UD Las Palmas fanbase has shown its support in key moments, and now the “yellow tide” is expected to mobilize to turn the stadium into a “pressure cooker,” emulating the atmosphere of other stadiums in the league. The club relies on the support of its fans to achieve the desired promotion to La Liga.
